Location & Population
- Southern Cambodia, 4 hours south of the capital city Phnom Penh., 15 mns north of Sihanoukville
- Village: Klang Leu
- 2 nurses, paid by donations
- 20 children, between 1 day and 5 years old

Project Scope
In this industrial area north of Sihanoukville, parents work in factories (mostly shoes, beer, clothes) for a few dollars per day. Although there are government schools in the village, young children stay home to take care of the babies, and miss school. It has never be so important for children of Cambodia to study, in order to adapt to the increasingly difficult job market and avoid following the wrong path.
In the small Klang Leu village, Anne and Jacques, residents of Siahoukville, were compelled to act. They tirelessly raised money from friends and relatives, received medecine from hospitals, and uniforms from donations. Along with the challenges of language, cooperation with local government and police, they undertook the challenges of:
- purchase trash cans and pay the municipality to collect them. Children do not play with trash any longer.
- design and build proper sanitation facilities. Prior to their community bathroom, the situation was very unhealthy.
- Create and run a small nursery to take care of the young ones.
- Hire and pay 2 nurses to take care of the children.
- Regularly raise money to purchase milk, clothes, uniforms.
- Take basic medical care of the children or bring them to hospitals as needed.

Help us stop the exploitation of children in major Southeast Asian urban centers!
Our Director has researched the subject of street children extensively (his life was threatened in Bangkok’s soi Cowboy when he interviewed a girl who had been kidnapped from a village in China) and believes that the conditions for these unfortunate children is only getting even worse.
We are running out of time. Wealthy foreigners are buying up children as fast as they can (from unaware parents who are told their children are going away to work in factories) for the thriving sex markets of major S.E. Asian urban centers.
Please help us set up and staff a new home in Cambodia so that we can get these helpless children out of harm's way.
Please email Rick if you are interested in helping Cambodian children:
