Getting Closer to the Trip
I continue to realize how close we are getting to arriving in Kenya! Each day I get more and more excited for the opportunity I have awaiting me. Currently we are looking into finding a flight to get me there. This trip has suddenly become so real, and so close. I am nervous of what to expect when I arrive, but at the same time I simply can't wait to be there. Kenya seems like such an interesting country, and I can't wait to spend three weeks there.

I have traveled outside of the country before, but the farthest I have been to is Italy. I feel that my time has come to experience what the world has to offer, as well as experience the struggles many go through that I have been sheltered from because of where I live. As I learn about where I am headed (and as I continue to read up on it), the culture is fascinating to me.

I am also preparing myself for the difficult times I will see, and the hardships that many are forced to face. I look at it as an opportunity to better their lives, and by doing so, better my life as well.

Comments Cannot wait to return to Kenya
I am also quite excited to return to Kenya, one year after my first visit. We have already  prepared projects which are going to make a sustainable difference to the communities around the Tsavo National park. More than anything, I look forward to meet an incredible woman, Rosina, her team of caregivers, and the children of her orphanage and nearby schools.
